Job Description / Responsibility
- The person will be required to carry out the overall merchandising jobs with world-renowned buyers based in Europe & USA for a large vertically integrated Yarn, Fabric (Woven, Knit, Denims) & Garments Manufacturing Company with state-of-the art set up, which has been supplying a wide range of world-class RMGs to many up-market buyers/brands in the USA and Europe for more than a decade. The incumbent should have the hands-on experience in the following functions:
- Looking for prospective high profile customers and bring in new business that ensures solid profitability
- Handle overall merchandising performances of particular buyers (knits & woven) starting from assessing a new order's feasibility of to shipment of goods
- Carry out planning jobs in coordination with Planning and Industrial Engineering departments for successful completion of order
- Planning & arranging the Trims & Accessories well in advance with the help of procurement department
- Lead a team of quality merchandising professionals and provide necessary supports and guidance for the successful completion of orders
- Making consumption of fabric, threads, accessories and carry out costing
- Liaison with the buyers & garments factories regarding any issues till the shipment
- Plan and get the samples done and delivered to the customers
- Creating and executing a production plan which would include fabric and trim sourcing, factory and subcontract scheduling and washing/embellishment planning etc.
- Responsible for managing fabric and accessories procurement as well as all aspects of export and import paperwork
- Oversee costing and production budgeting activities

Additional Job Requirements
- Age 30 to 45 year(s)
- Minimum 02 years of merchandising experience out of which 1-2 years as a Senior Merchandiser while handling top-class USA/ European customers/ brands
- Outstanding track record in the area of Merchandising
- Should have solid knowledge about fabric constructions and weights, finishing, washing etc.
- Must be very familiar with the current fashion and trends
- Should be very much familiar with steps of modern order executions
- A solid knowledge of globally accepted Quality Standard is a must
- Should have thorough knowledge on technique like preparation of critical paths, time and action schedules with ability to identify potential bottle necks in order execution
- Ability to successfully lead a team of highly efficient team
- Aptitude to work in a cosmopolitan working environment comprising a bunch of highly sophisticated professionals
- Should have excellent command in Computer Operation particularly in MS Office
